The poultry science department and the Center of Excellence for Poultry Science include a complex of teaching, research and extension facilities at the Arkansas Agricultural Research and Extension Center and the John W. Tyson Poultry Science Building on campus. The department provides the curriculum for B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degree programs. |

| Poultry Science Club Bake Sale - November 20! The Poultry Science Club is raising money for their trip to Atlanta, GA for the 2010 International Poultry Expo. Please support our students by purchasing some goodies. The sale will be from 8:00 am - 1:00 pm in the lobby of the POSC building. |

University of Arkansas places second in the 44th National Collegiate Poultry Judging Contest. Additionally, the team took first place for egg production and quality and second place in breed selection and carcass quality. Nine teams competed. |

Ixchel Reyes-Herrera was awarded the Student Certificate of Excellence for her presentation at the 98th Poultry Science Association meeting in Raleigh, NC. The title of her presentation was "Validation of a simple screening procedure to estimate contaminant concentrations in processed poultry." Ixchel is a University of Arkansas Graduate College Doctoral Fellowship Recipient and is completing her doctoral studies under the direction of Dan Donoghue. |
