POSC Scholarships

POULTRY SCIENCE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS (new and current students)

Last academic year the Department of Poultry Science awarded over $176,000 in scholarships to deserving students. All of this would not have been possible without the tremendous support our department receives from the Poultry Industry and Allied Industries.

POSC majors - So, Jr, Sr; enrolled in at least 12 hours; strong academics and work ethic; show leadership ability and professional potential; will need to work at fair or do 15 hours of community service

Edmiston, Tom

POSC major - full time student (must have been in POSC for at least one semester to be eligible for consideration)

Forsythe, Richard (4-H)

POSC incoming freshman - awarded through state 4-H program.

POSC majors - enrolled in at least 12 hours; strong academics and work ethic; show leadership ability and professional potential; will need to work at fair or do 15 hrours of community service

Greene, Daryle & Peggy

POSC major - Fr, So, Jr, Sr; enrolled full time (12 hours); incoming freshmen should be in the top half of their class; current students should have at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA; This should be at least a half tuition scholarship

Harris, Grover

POSC majors - undergrads, renewable, adhere to departmental criteria. Number and amount set by department awards committee. Would prefer someone active in 4-H.

POSC majors - enrolled in at least 12 hours; strong academics and work ethic; show leadership ability and professional potential; will need to work at fair or do 15 hours of community service

New, incoming freshmen pursuing a major in Crop Sciences may apply for the Delta Classic Scholarship through August 1st.  To apply, please complete the Bumpers College application (which is also the University of Arkansas universal application for current students) by clicking here.  

ALL students completing a Bumpers College scholarship application are strongly encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as early as possible in 2014.

    • Note to students:  The Bumpers College Scholarship Application serves as the application to multiple scholarships, including the Arkansas Seed Dealers Association Scholarship, the Delta Classic Scholarship, and the AFLS Division of Agriculture Land Grant Scholarship.  After completing the application, be sure to REVIEW THE OPPORTUNITIES OFFERED ON YOUR LOGIN PAGE.  We recommend checking this page more than once as we work with a new software system.
    • Read the INFORMATION about the new scholarship application process
    • Only the Delta Classic Scholarship remains open after February 15, 2014, 11:59pm CST
    • Periodically review the "Opportunities" section of the application, for scholarships requiring additional information.
